    Tom and Jerry Project: 1940-1967
    Dicky Moe (1962)

Even by Deitch standards, this one is rather odd, pitting the duo in a loose retelling of Moby Dick of all things.

A 19th century ship captain is obsessed with capturing a whale named 'Dicky Moe' (as is made obvious by his constant annoying grumbling). After scaring off his crew, he snatches Tom and brings him aboard to work on the ship deck. Clearly unhappy with this, he notices Jerry setting up…

Oh how I was dreading revisiting this one, and what a surprise, it's STILL a piece of shit!

But of course, you can blame Fox for that, who as if they wanted to deliver the death blow to the Die Hard series, brought in director John Moore to handle this fifth entry (because everyone loved his take on Max Payne didn't they)? And when you're also paired with an equally poor screenwriter like Skip Woods, it's no wonder that A…

    Live Free or Die Hard

I know my take of this will be quite a hot one, but I've always dug this divisive fourth installment of the Die Hard franchise, which came over a full decade after With a Vengeance. Bringing the old-school John McClane into the computer age could have been a complete disaster, but I'd say Die Hard 4.0 (which is a far better title than Live Free or Die Hard) does a better job of it than would have been expected.

    Tom and Jerry Project: 1940-1967
    Calypso Cat (1962)

So while Tom is chasing Jerry around a city boat dock, Tom can't help but get distracted by the beauty of the female feline that's about to board a cruise ship set for the Caribbean. As Tom follows his love interest onto the ship in an attempt to woo her, Jerry finds every opportunity possible to kill his buzz, causing the female cat to reject every one of Tom's flirtations.

    Standard Deitch…

    NOTE: Much better review here.

The Thing stands as one of my all-time favourite sci-fi/horror films. Hell, I'd even consider it the best thing that John Carpenter ever did. This was my first ever exposure to the director's work, as well as Kurt Russell, and since then I've always been a massive fan of both of them.

Based on the science-fiction short story "Who Goes There?", it begins in Antarctica, where a seemingly harmless husky dog infiltrates a U.S research…

I've seen YouTube Poops with better production values than this.

Absolutely fucking painful. So bad that I refuse to even give it a proper write-up.
