    I'm not going to deny there's a certain charm to it, mainly because of the delivery and performance from Andy Kaufman and Bernadette Peters, and the make-up effects and the little robot by Stan Winston are strangely effective. But as a comedy with a touch of drama, the whole thing fails as it's not very good at one and is terrible at the other. I mean, there's a robot who tells bad jokes and I get it it's part of its character trait. Still, they're not funny. He vomits them nonstop. We have to endure it.
